Remembering Your Own Voice
August 1–10
The month begins with a noticeable shift in tone.
(Sigh, Venus in Libra.)
After the emotional waves and constant adjustments of recent weeks, August offers a brief moment to look around before everything begins to change. It’s the deep breath before the next chapter, and while you may not be able to name what’s coming yet, you can probably feel it.
Relationships soften. Conversations become easier. Beauty has a way of catching your attention again.
You may find yourself reconnecting with old friends, rediscovering forgotten interests, or simply noticing the people, places, books, music, and experiences that make you feel a little more alive.
Pay attention to those moments.
They’re clues.
This week isn’t asking you to chase the loudest opportunity or make the biggest decision. Instead, it asks a quieter question:
What genuinely resonates with you?
It isn’t what earns approval.
It doesn’t have to look impressive.
It’s time to stop doing what you’ve always done because it was expected of you.
So...what feels like you?
Venus moves into Libra this week, reminding us that beauty isn’t superficial. It’s a compass. The things we find beautiful often reveal what we value most deeply. Sometimes they’re pointing us toward the life we’re meant to create.
At the same time, the sky is quietly preparing us for the Leo–Aquarius eclipses.
This axis has always carried a question about the relationship between the individual and the collective.
Where have you become so attached to playing a particular role that you’ve forgotten who you are beneath it?
Where have you been trying so hard to stand out that you’ve lost sight of the people standing beside you?
Or perhaps the opposite is true.
Have you spent so much time blending into the group, meeting expectations, or supporting everyone else that you’ve forgotten what brings you joy?
The coming eclipse won’t ask you to choose between yourself and your community.
It asks you to rediscover the unique gifts only you can offer—and then consider how those gifts might serve something larger than yourself.
Before a seed can sprout, the soil has to be prepared.
This week is your preparation.
There is also a quiet steadiness beneath everything.
The Sun forms a supportive aspect with Saturn, reminding us that meaningful change isn’t built through dramatic declarations. It’s built through consistency. A conversation. A boundary. A morning walk. An hour spent learning something that excites you.
Small promises kept now become foundations you’ll appreciate later.
Don’t underestimate the ordinary moments.
They’re often where the future quietly begins.
Reflection
Instead of asking,
“What should I do?”
Try asking,
“What feels most like me?”
And then ask one more question:
“How can I share that with the world?”
Big love.

Venus visits Libra twice this year, and the second pass is the part most August writeups leave out. She arrives on the sixth and moves on to Scorpio September 10. Then she stations retrograde October 3 at eight degrees Scorpio, backs up into Libra on October 25, turns direct there November 14 at twenty two degrees fifty two, and does not leave for good until December 4. Two passes, roughly seventy four days in the sign she rules, out of a single year. Your line about beauty being a compass rather than decoration reads differently at that length. Whatever does not resolve in August comes back around in the fall carrying the same question and better information.
