On July 9, Venus enters Virgo, a sign where she is traditionally considered to be in her fall. This sounds dramatic, but in practice it is often much more relatable than that.

The challenge of Venus in Virgo is that she can become so focused on improvement that she forgets to appreciate what is already good. It is easy to slip into the belief that love must be earned through usefulness or perfected through endless refinement.
Yet relationships, like gardens, rarely thrive because they are flawless. They thrive because they are tended.
This theme of care continues as Mercury, retrograde in Cancer, reaches the heart of the Sun on July 12.
Among the many moments of a Mercury retrograde, the cazimi is my favorite.
For a brief period, Mercury sits in the throne room of the Sun. The messenger gains direct access to the king.
A realization emerges.
A conversation clicks into place.
A memory suddenly makes sense.
Because this occurs in Cancer, the insights may arrive through family stories, emotional patterns, old photographs, childhood memories, or reflections on what home truly means.
Cancer remembers.

Not just events, but the emotional atmosphere surrounding them.
Sometimes the memories that surface under Cancer transits are warm and comforting. Sometimes they reveal old hurts that still shape our decisions. Either way, they remind us that the past is rarely as finished as we imagine.
Then, on July 13, Venus forms a square to Uranus.
Just when we begin settling into familiar emotional territory, Uranus arrives with a reminder that growth is rarely comfortable.
Expect surprises in relationships, finances, values, or matters of self-worth.
A routine may need adjusting.
An expectation may need releasing.
A relationship dynamic may reveal itself to be ready for change.
Uranus has little patience for habits that have outlived their usefulness.
The week culminates with a New Moon in Cancer on July 14.
New Moons are invitations rather than conclusions. They plant seeds rather than harvest results. In Cancer, those seeds often concern belonging, security, family, emotional resilience, and the places we return to when life becomes difficult.
